Adopt A Class University of Cincinnati Experience Day

Adopt A Class University of Cincinnati Experience Day

At the beginning of the month, we had the privilege of collaborating with the University of Cincinnati for the second year in a row to host over 200 sixth-grade students for the Adopt A Class UC Experience Day!

Students from the Academy of World Languages, Hughes STEM High School, Roberts Academy, and Ludlow High School had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a day in the life of a bearcat (I’m not sure but should this be Bearcat?! Truly no idea, just a thought.) The morning commenced with celebrations, including insights from UC Admissions. Our students also had the chance to hear from current UC students who attended THEIR elementary and middle schools, sharing their personal experiences and the paths that led them to a four-year college.

Following this, students embarked on a guided campus scavenger hunt, exploring the various colleges, dormitories, and study halls that UC has to offer. They concluded their day with a UC student panel, where our students could ask questions about different majors and fields of study.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the opportunity to partner with UC in providing this enriching field trip experience for our sixth graders! Collaborations like these enable them to explore the multitude of post-high school graduation opportunities available!
